This cuvée is the perfect demonstration of the fact that time reveals great Armagnacs: the first nose is very complex in a floral register, enhanced by refined ageing which has made the bouquet more complex, bringing noble rancio and spices. On the palate, there are hints of dried figs and fresh plums, the essence of this eau-de-vie. An apotheosis.

Technique

Characteristics

The estate is located in Le Frêche, in the heart of the Grand-bas-Armagnac, on tawny sands. Half of the vineyard is made up of Folle Blanche (11 ha), which produces very fine, elegant and bouqueted eaux de vie. A very difficult grape variety to grow, Folle Blanche is somewhat neglected and this makes it the special feature of the Boingnères estate.

Oenology

After fermentation, the wine is distilled and then stored in new barrels for two years. They are then transferred to older barrels that have removed most of their tannins.
