Napa Valley, Bettina Proprietary, Bryant - 2016

  • Provenance: California
  • Appellation: California
  • Domain: Bryant
  • Grape variety(ies): Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot
  • On-call time: 20 years
  • Alcohol degree: 15.5%
Supple and dark in appearance, it bursts from the glass in a burst of blueberries, spices, leather, cigar box and menthol, very complex, with a greedy but not caricatured hint of crème de cassis. From the outset, the wine flows effortlessly over the tongue and retains all its volume without losing its shape on the palate. It is more elegant and juicy than powerful, relying on essential components. Its structure is of exquisite quality and stretches the body in a salivating, very sapid rush. A great wine. Parker: 95+/100 ; Vinous - Galloni: 96/100 ; Suckling: 97/100 ; Dunnuck: 95+/100

Viticulture

From the exceptional vineyards of David Abreu's estate - Madrona, Thorevilos and Las Posadas - the different altitudes and soil compositions give Bettina a wonderful structure and hedonistic dimension.
