A rare wine made from an ancient Sardinian grape variety! Rich, bright red colour with violet highlights. Intense, enveloping notes of Morello cherry, plum and berries. The palate is smooth and balanced, with nuances of red fruit and spice and soft tannins that carry through to a long, winding finish.

Viticulture

Growing region: Mogoro (OR).

Oenology

Fermentation temperature is controlled and selected yeasts are used. Vinification involves a maceration period of around 10 days, carried out at a temperature never higher than 26°C. After vinification, the wine is matured for 6 months in second-pass French oak barrels and concrete vats.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Spaghetti with bottarga - Potato gnocchi - Porceddu (suckling pig roasted over a wood fire and flavoured with myrtle leaves).
