Characteristics

Alsace is home to several distilleries because fruit trees are widely present in Eastern France. Son of a wine merchant and fruit lover, Gilbert Miclo created the eponymous Distillery in 1962, in the village of Lapoutroie, at the foot of the Vosges mountains. From the outset, the choice was made to favour quality over quantity, in order to offer spirits with real aromatic power.

Oenology

This requirement has led to numerous awards at the CGA in Paris. This is how Gilbert Miclo's edvs found their way onto the tables of the greatest starred restaurants in Europe. A choice of the best vats, as well as 4 years of ageing in stainless steel vats (to preserve the purity and keep the white edv clear and fiery) are necessary for the elaboration of "Grande Réserve".
