German beers (called Weissbier, Weizenbier) are sweet and sour, brewed exclusively from barley malt and wheat.

Belgian beers (called white beers or wheat beers) are less sweet than German beers and drier, with more flavour and a sour taste. They are brewed from barley malt, wheat and oats. Curaçao and coriander are also added. The best example is Wittekop.
