Definition: Tracasset

In the canton of Vaud, a small 3-wheeled motorised vehicle used by winegrowers. Originally typical of Vaud, the tracasset has spread throughout the canton's steep vineyards. This original vehicle is often the work of skilled DIY enthusiasts. It can reach speeds of up to 25 km/hour. There is even a world tracasset championship held every two years in Épesses (Lavaux - VD).
