Definition: Saint-Péray AOC

Northern Côtes-du-Rhône region. Production area located five kilometres west of Valence, on the right bank of the Rhône, within plots in the commune of Saint-Péray, in the Ardèche department. Classified as an AOC cru in 1936. Area under production: just over 60 hectares. White grape varieties: Marsanne and Roussanne. Vinified as a still or sparkling white wine (second fermentation in bottles). Can be kept: best drunk young. Ideal serving temperature: between 8 and 10°C. Pair with: sea or river fish, shellfish and crustaceans; sparkling wine as an aperitif or with a coffee tart.
