A wine-growing region in Spain located in the Duero Valley, which precedes the Douro in Portugal, this DOC produces highly renowned wines, in particular the legendary Vega Sicilia and Pesquera. Its full-bodied, tannic wines have a very long ageing potential. The region also produces some very fine rosés.
