Languedoc region. Production area located between Pézenas and Sète, partly on the edge of the Thau lagoon, more precisely within the municipalities of Castelnau-de-Guers, Florensac, Mèze, Montagnac, Pinet and Pomerols in the Hérault department. Classified as AOC Coteaux-du-Languedoc in 1985. Area under production: just over 250 hectares. The entire Coteaux-du-Languedoc appellation covers more than 10,000 hectares. Vinified as white wine. White grape variety: Piquepoul. Can be kept for 2 to 3 years. Ideal serving temperature: between 6 and 8°C. Pair with: shellfish and crustaceans, grilled fish, cod steaks with saffron sauce, raw anchovy fillets in olive oil. With a barrel-aged Picpoul de Pinet, cod brandade croquettes.
