An old measure of agricultural area in the canton of Vaud, equal to 9 m². 50 perches correspond to 450 m², or a fossorier or fossoyer or ouvrier or quarteron, the area worked by one person in a day. The size of the perch varied depending on the canton. In France, in Paris, the perch was equal to 34.18 m².
