Back Bergerac region. Production area located east of Bergerac, on the right bank of the Dordogne, more precisely within the municipalities of Bergerac, Creysse, Lembras and Saint-Sauveur in the Dordogne department. Classified as an AOC in 1992. Black grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Côt and Merlot. Produced exclusively as red wine, it must be a blend of at least three grape varieties. Area under production: nearly 400 hectares. It can be kept for 4 to 10 years. Ideal serving temperature: between 16 and 17°C. Enjoy with: goose or duck confit, rump steak with oyster mushrooms, hare à la royale, game.
