A highly aromatic white grape variety resulting from a cross between Müller-Thurgau and Siegerrebe. Grown mainly in Germany, it produces delicately fruity, rounded wines, which are sometimes sweet when harvested late. Named in honour of the great philosopher José Ortega y Gasset.
