Definition: NV

Back
An Anglo-Saxon term, short for "non-vintage" (without a vintage year), often used on bottles of sparkling wines made from various wines from different vintage years (reserve wines). It means that the wine was not made from the harvest of a single vintage year, which is common in average years. NV is also used in the production of port wines that do not come from a great year (a year without vintage port production).
