A term used in the Vaud region to refer to the residue left over from pressing walnut and hazelnut kernels after the oil has been extracted, synonymous with "tourteau" in Vaud. Walnut and hazelnut nion is ground to make cakes. Other types of tourteau are used in agricultural mills to produce feed for livestock.
