Côte-de-Nuits region in Burgundy. Production area located 6 kilometres north of Nuits-Saint-Georges, more precisely within plots in the commune of Chambolle-Musigny, in the Côte-d'Or department. Classified as an AOC grand cru in 1936. Area under production: just under 10 hectares. The total area is 10 hectares 70 ares. White grape varieties: Chardonnay; grey: Pinot Beurot; black: Pinot Noir and Pinot Liébault. The incorporation of a certain number of white and grey grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinots into the vineyards intended for producing red wines is still authorised, provided that they do not exceed 15%. A very small proportion is vinified as white wine, with the majority being vinified as red wine. It can be kept for a very long time, from 4 to 15 years. Ideal serving temperature: between 8 and 10°C for white wine; between 16 and 17°C for red wine. Pair with: white wine with fish or lobster croustade; red wine with game birds such as pheasant, woodcock or thrush, or a rack of lamb.
