Definition: Louchissement

Let us recall a memory from my teenage years. After a game of tennis at a country house, a friend suggested, following his parents' example, that he serve us some well-diluted absinthe, which he claimed was the ultimate thirst-quenching drink. It was greatly appreciated. However, as the bottle was barely open, our friend took the precaution of topping it up with a little water. Horror! The whole bottle turned cloudy. We had to confess to the adventure!
