Planted in 1986 in the commune of Buix in Ajoie, Clos des Cantons is a 5-hectare vineyard, facing south at an altitude of 380 to 430 metres. Its steep slope (25 to 55%) and microclimate, which is fog-free in summer and autumn, ensure the production of Riesling-Sylvaner and Pinot Gris for white wines, and Garanoir and Pinot Noir for red wines. In 1995, the vineyard obtained the national appellation contrôlée, which guarantees a quality wine, produced with respect for nature, with the "Vinatura" label. Another more recent vineyard (1991) overlooks the Birse valley in Soyhières, not far from Delémont. This 4-hectare south-facing Jura hillside serves as a laboratory, run by the Valentin Blattner family. Specialising in the search for new grape varieties, such as Muscat de la Birse, these are creations that are perfectly suited to the conditions of this very special terroir.
