Bottled wine, open wine or litre quality in the United States, where these ordinary wines are often sold by the gallon (3.785 litres) or half-gallon (1.89 litres). In the USA, these large containers of generic wines have always been popular with migrant workers from Mediterranean countries and Eastern Europe.
