Definition: Grappillon

A small bunch or part of a bunch; also small second-generation bunches that form late on the higher branches of the vine and do not ripen. They must be removed from the harvest and even eliminated as quickly as possible to relieve the plant and not weaken the future harvest. See synonym: verjus.
