General term for a wine that is flawless and has a clean taste (synonyms: straightforward, pure). Refers to all the qualities of a wine, or one of its aspects (colour, bouquet, taste, etc.), without any flaws or ambiguities. Absence of abnormal odours or flavours, distinct characteristics of the grape variety or terroir.
