Definition: Finage

Back
The finage corresponds to the territory on which an agricultural or wine-growing community settles, works and exercises its agrarian rights. It therefore includes the village and the area that the rural group clears, cultivates and exploits for agricultural or pastoral purposes. The parcellaire is the set of plots of land within the finage. The plot is the smallest division of agricultural land, and several plots, listed on the land registry, may constitute a single field.
