Éditions Favre Lausanne - Paris, founded over twenty years ago by Pierre-Marcel Favre, has published nearly 1,300 works to date.
Distributed in Switzerland (by OLF), France, Belgium and Canada (by Interforum), they publish around fifty works per year, which are divided into several collections:
? Reports and testimonials
The dossiers explore important or topical social or political issues. The testimonials recount personal experiences or extraordinary life stories.
? Dictionaries
Fun and informative, the thematic dictionaries collect expressions and words specific to certain areas of language and usage.
? Public debates
This collection, which is sometimes controversial, aims to generate discussion and constructive reactions. It covers both political and social issues.
? Gastronomy
Our richly illustrated albums dedicated to the great chefs of Switzerland and elsewhere aim to help you pull out all the stops or impress your guests. Other smaller-format books are devoted to wine tasting, themed recipes or recipes that are easier to make with friends.
? Albums
Beautiful books on photography, art, history, travel and sport, among other subjects, which give pride of place to images.
? Literature
A few novels and literary works enrich the catalogue.
? Caracole
The world of horses takes centre stage in this collection.
? Switzerland
Works dealing with more specifically Swiss themes, or written by Swiss authors and personalities.
? Health and practical guides
Written by specialists on a variety of subjects, this collection takes a practical approach to topics such as health, leisure, nature, well-being, daily life and professional life.
We have included it in our specialised encyclopaedia because Éditions Favre specialises in beautiful volumes, with more than fifty titles on gastronomy and wine to date, the complete collection of which is presented at the link below. We list in detail the works published on these two themes.
