Burgundy appellation in the Côte de Nuits. Production area located to the north near Nuits-Saint-Georges, more precisely within plots in the commune of Flagey-Echézeaux in the Côte d'Or department. Classified as an AOC grand cru in 1937. Area under production: nearly 32 hectares. The total area is 37 ha 70 a. Grape varieties: grey: Pinot Beurot; black: Pinot Noir and Pinot Liébault. The incorporation of a certain number of white and grey grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinots into the vines intended for producing red wines is authorised, provided that they do not exceed 15%. Vinified as red wine only. It can be kept for a very long time, from 6 to 15 years. Ideal serving temperature: between 16 and 17°C. Enjoy with red meat; a leg of lamb would be perfect.
