Definition: Disc

It is on the upper part of the liquid in a glass, the disc, that we can observe on its edge, the fringe, the change in colour that determines the age of the wine. Bubbles that remain there or foreign bodies in suspension also reveal alterations. To complete the examination, it is useful to tilt the glass to reduce the thickness of the wine.
