This region of the Côtes-du-Rhône is located around Tain-l'Hermitage. It produces well-coloured, full-bodied reds that resemble Hermitage wines but are less intense. They contain Syrah and up to 15% Roussane and Marsanne. Ageing potential of 6 to 12 years. The whites made from Marsanne and Roussanne can be kept for 1 to 3 years.
