Definition: Città del Gusto

Back
A veritable temple to gastronomy, Rome's "embassy of taste" offers cooking classes, hosts television shoots and suggests various tastings, all for the greater glory of everyone's palate. It is an empire of taste entirely devoted to Italian and international gastronomy. On the banks of the Tiber, in a former industrial district undergoing redevelopment, stands a futuristic building: the Città del Gusto. Created by the famous Italian gastronomic guide Gambero Rosso, the Città del Gusto is a five-storey palace covering 7,500 m2, costing €10 million, which was inaugurated in 2002. The Città del Gusto is a natural extension of Gambero Rosso, which has been in existence for over twenty years. Its mission is to bring together all professions related to gastronomy in this space.
