Definition: blanc de blancs

This expression is used for white wines made from white grapes, and particularly to describe Champagnes made exclusively from the white Chardonnay grape variety, as opposed to blancs de noirs, which are made from the red Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties.
