Definition: Bex salt

Origin:
200 million years ago, Switzerland was covered by the sea. Slow evaporation, followed by the folding of the Alps, preserved precious salt deposits in the heart of our mountains. It is in this rocky setting that the salt has remained free from pollution. Extracted by dissolving it in spring water from our glaciers at the Bex Salt Mines, then harvested by evaporation, Sel des Alpes® retains its original purity.
