Definition: 2006 classification of Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés

Two grands crus classés were promoted to 1ers grands crus classés "B": Château Pavie Macquin and Château Troplong Mondot.

Six wines classified as grands crus were promoted to Grands Crus Classés, and 13 wines were downgraded.

The asterisk (*) indicates the châteaux that have been promoted.

The new classification of 7 September 2006, approved by a decree published in the Official Journal on 4 January 2007, applies from the 2006 harvest onwards.
