Domaine Bott is a well-known Condrieu producer specialising in fine white wines made from the Viognier grape variety. The 2020 is an aromatic wine, with aromas of white flowers, peach and citrus fruit. The palate is round, full and rich, with a lovely freshness and a finish that reveals notes of exotic fruit and honey, typical of Viognier. Wine Spectator: 93/100

Technique

Viticulture

This cuvée, located in the heart of the Condrieu appellation, below the estate, comes from the area known as “Chanson”. It's a plot-by-plot selection from a steep, arid hillside of muscovite granite.

Oenology

De-stemming, skin maceration, cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation in barrels at 16-18°. Malolactic fermentation on fine lees in oak barrels. Battonage once every 3 weeks. Aged 18 months in demi-casks of Allier forest oak.
