Burgundian oak, which precedes a full and supple palate in its development, only really revealing itself in the middle, with a motricity and salinity that passes in front of the wood to give it momentum and dynamism. It's long and juicy. Very nice terroir impressions on the finish. One of the best Valandraud tasted! RVF Green Guide: 95/100

Viticulture

In 1989, Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud acquired a small parcel of 0.6 ha in the St-Emilion valley between Pavie-Macquin and La Clotte. They made their first vintage in 1991. Since then, they have acquired other plots and properties in St-Christophe-Des-Bardes, St-Sulpice de Faleyrens and St-Etienne de Lisse. It is considered to be the first "garage wine" in the history of Bordeaux. Current surface area: 8.88 ha. Average age of the vines: 30 years.

Oenology

Manual harvesting, sorting of the grapes by the pickers, then densimetric sorting of the berries in the cellar on the Tribaie. Vinification in stainless steel, wood and concrete thermo-regulated vats, manual punching down, pumping over, maceration for about 3 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aged 18 to 30 months in new barrels. Production: 35'000 bottles on average per year.
