Viticulture
Rauzan-Ségla has been renowned since the 18th century - Thomas Jefferson described it as the first of the second growths, along with Brane-Mouton - and has undergone a genuine revival since the Wertheimer family acquired it in 1994. Major work has been carried out in the vineyard to further optimize quality. The soil is Gunzian Garonne gravel (fine, deep gravel). The vineyard has an average age of 30 years, with some plots approaching 50 years.
Oenology
Vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats, then the wines are aged in Tronçais oak barrels for 18 to 20 months (around 50% new wood).
