Rather bright colour for the age of the wine, with vermilion hues. The first nose is ashy, smoky, liquorice, tuberous, on the bulb, with an earthy, truffled side, noble vegetal and a floral dimension. Lively attack with both freshness and tension, without thinness. The maturity of the tannin is that of the year, but the wine has no hollows, it is continuous, united, honest, cold, like the vintage. In a secondary phase, it could evolve towards even more finesse and greed. James Suckling: 90/100

The Marsau vines cover 13 hectares on one of the highest points of the appellation, with a clay-limestone terroir with a high clay content that is perfectly suited to Merlot. Today the soils are no longer worked and the Domaine is in organic conversion.

After manual harvesting and careful sorting, the vinification process is temperature-controlled. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels and other containers of various sizes and materials.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Rack of veal with morels - Braised chuck of beef - Roast duck with citrus fruits.
