Rendu célèbre par le domaine Dauvissat, le Cru Forêt s'inclue dans les Montmains et en constitue une des meilleures parties. Comparé à des terroirs comme Fourchaume, le vin est plus secret jeune, moins aromatique, mais il offre davantage de salinité, avec une bouche élégante et racée, de la précision et de l'allonge.
