A word from the cellar master: "After the powerful aromas of cooked apple, vanilla and roasted almonds, this 1988 vintage has hints of candied orange, honey and cinnamon. After 25 years of ageing and in order to celebrate my quarter of a century as Cellar Master, I have fashioned 1988 decanters of this cuvée which has now reached its aromatic fullness."

Characteristics

The history of the House began in 1923 when the wine and spirits merchant, Alexandre Lecompte, decided to sell his business, with the exception of his stocks of old Calvados. Located near orchards producing the best apples in the region, the House is set up in a small farm in the heart of the Pays d'Auge. It now contains nearly 800 oak barrels in 8 cellars. It is located in Notre-Dame-de-Courson, in the Pays d'Auge.

Oenology

Calvados is produced in a delimited area in Normandy. It involves the distillation of cider, followed by blending and maturing exclusively in French oak barrels.
