Aglianico del Vulture, Gricos, Grifalco della L. (magnum) - 2014

Fabrizio Piccin is originally from Tuscany, but he fell in love with Lucania, the ancient name for Basilicata, where he settled with his wife. On the slopes of Mount Vultur, a famous extinct volcano, he cultivates aglianico with respect for nature. Here it is adorned with typical smoky and spicy nuances; the wine is elegant and smooth, slightly tannic, with an exquisite pepper taste.

Viticulture

The grapes come from the vineyards of four plots. Certified organic farming.

Oenology

Fermentation lasts an average of 10 days at controlled temperatures, with gentle pressing and de-stemming. No selected yeasts are used. 50% of the wine is aged in Slavonia oak casks for 12 months, the rest in steel.

Neapolitan pizza cooked on a wood fire, beef carpaccio with olive oil.
