Monumental nose of cedar, spices and cinchona, original and singular, which demonstrates the great wine of the plateau that it is. The palate matches it, with total fullness, quite out of class for the vintage with its truffle, virile and vinous side. Impressive. Guide Vert RVF : 94/100 : Bettane & Desseauve : 93/100

Viticulture

This property, superbly situated on clay-limestone soil (sedimentary fragments of flint and limestone) in the extension of the south coast, has a long tradition. It was the Abbé de Sèze who built the present château in 1745. In 1868, the Féret yearbook even ranked Troplong as the second best wine of the appellation.

Oenology

The wine is aged for 12 to 24 months in new barrels for 70% of the harvest and in one-year old barrels for the rest.
