Viticulture

The average age of the vines is 35 years, and they are planted at a rate of 5,500 to 7,000 vines per hectare. They are cultivated in the traditional way, with full respect for the environment: ploughing, organic fertilisers, rational pest control and manual harvesting.

Oenology

Vinification is traditional (maximum 2 pump-overs, grapes picked at optimum ripeness) and the harvest is vinified in small cement vats. The wine is matured in oak barrels, half of which are renewed each year, and thus follows the ageing process of the great Bordeaux wines for 18 months.
