Mélange de légumes tous produits sur le domaine de Terre di Shemir, en Sicile. Aubergine, poivrons, céleri, oignon, olives, câpres, raisins secs, pignons, amandes, vinaigre, sucre, ail, poivre, sel, tomate, sauce aigre-douce et huile d'olive Trappitu Intenso.
Caponata is usually used as a side dish or aperitif, but before 1700 it was a single dish served with bread. It is a mixture of vegetables (all of them coming strictly from the properties of Terre di Shemir), mostly aubergines, peppers, celery, onion, olives, capers, sultanas, pine nuts, almonds, vinegar, sugar, garlic, pepper, salt and tomato with sweet and sour sauce, all enriched with Trappitu oil.
