Viticulture

Considered one of Austria’s oldest wineries, located in former monastery buildings in the Wachau region, Nikolaihof has maintained an unbroken winemaking tradition for centuries. It was one of the first biodynamic producers in Europe. The vineyards are tended as true living gardens. The vines grow on loess and paragneiss soils typical of the Wachau region.

Oenology

Fermented with indigenous yeasts in large wooden barrels where it is then aged for over three years.
