This is the great red wine of the estate and when tasted blind, it oscillates between a very great Rhône Grenache and a fine 1er Cru de Chambolle. It has a cherry colour with ruby highlights. The nose, very aromatic, evokes acidulous red fruits (redcurrant and blackcurrant). The tannins are very elegant and the persistence surprising for such a southern wine. Guide Vert RVF : 94/100

Viticulture

Located in Southern Corsica, in the Taravo valley, the estate extends over 18 hectares of granite arena slopes. One of the oldest estates in Corsica, it has been the site of the study and cultivation of ancient grape varieties. Since 2000, it has been cultivated biodynamically. The density per hectare is 3500 vines. The grass is permanently and naturally grown. The soil is worked on the row. The pruning is double cordon Royat. This wine has been produced since 2007.

Oenology

A true tribute to the great men of the family, the vintages of the estate's Collection range bear the names of the current owner's descendants, who were renowned during the Empire. Their originality and rarity are based on the complexity of the grape varieties, the quality of the vines and their age (50 years). Aged in 600 litre demi-muids for several wines.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Pigeon with myrtle - Lamb confit - Roast veal - Beef tajine with prunes.
