From an old massal selection taken in Morgon in the 1920s by Jean-Michel's grandfather, this formidable Gamay offers a first nose, racy and surprising, of pepper, which even reminds us of certain Syrahs; it precedes a spicy, vinous, full-bodied palate, full of juice, which calls for charcuterie or a fine meat.

Viticulture

Le Grand Clos is a family estate of 7 ha located in the commune of Satigny. The vineyard on the hillside is grassed over and maintained with the utmost rigour. A lot of work is done in the vineyard, which produces little but gives healthy and concentrated fruit. The grapes are harvested when they are fully ripe in terms of alcohol, phenolics and aroma.

Oenologie

Aged in stainless steel vats for up to 24 months. In some red vintages, malolactic fermentation is only partially carried out, or not at all, in order to preserve a maximum of freshness and purity of fruit.
