Produced by Marie Orliac (Domaine de l'Hortus), this magnificent red comes from vines planted on St-Jean de Buèges. The 2016 vintage is strongly marked by the race of the great Syrahs that make it up: a superb apricot nose, "bursting" with fruit, evolving on pine. A great wine of pleasure and terroir with a fleshy, fresh and crisp side.

Technique

Viticulture

Humid and very cool Mediterranean climate. Harvest: 25-30hl/ha. Brown soil formed on limestone scree at the foot of the Larzac plateau, slope of 10 to 30%, altitude 150 to 200 m, south-east exposure.

Oenology

Harvested in crates, destemmed and crushed, vatting for 25 to 30 days. Aged for 18 months in old French oak barrels of 225L and 400L.
