Sadie Family has established itself as a leading name in the Swartland region and a driving force behind the revival of South African wine. Eben Sadie champions a terroir-focused approach, crafting precise and elegant wines from old vines and Mediterranean grape varieties well-suited to the Cape climate. The grenache comes from a vineyard located on Citrusdal Mountain consisting of sandstone and weathered stones.
Oenology
Concrete tanks are filled with 30% whole cluster and 70% destemmed grapes in order to carry out fermentaqtion. After pressing the wine is racked back into the concrete tanks, where it spends 8 months on lees. It is then racked to another concrete tank for 4 months.
