The first nose could take us to Burgundy, with its notes of rose, peony, fresh flowers and a discreet touch of vanilla blueberry that accentuates its greediness. The attack is formidably suave and opulent, but with a brightness in the tannin that immediately evokes the limestone of the Cambes hillside. The length is chalky, sapid, with a finish that is that of great terroir wines. It will be a landmark!

Viticulture

François Mitjaville (Tertre Roteboeuf in St-Emilion) masterfully revived this property over thirty years ago, importing here the viticultural model that had proved successful at Le Tertre as well as his taste for very high grape maturity and opulent character.

Oenology

Aged 100% in new barrels. The vineyard is located on the first line of the slope of the appellation: the part located at the bottom of the slope is vinified and matured separately and is bottled under the name of Domaine de Cambes.
