Elevation 335 to 500 feet on a south-facing slope, nine miles from the Pacific Ocean, near the hamlet of Navarro, in the "Deep End" of the Anderson Valley. This is the most north-westerly vineyard in the AVA. This site is farmed using organic and biodynamic methods, but is not certified. Complex Bearwallow-Wolfey terroir: red to brown, well drained, shallow sandy loam, sandstone and shale with only 6 to 12 inches of topsoil. Block E is a particularly steep, gravelly terroir that Ted Lemon personally selected because he helped the owner with the initial development of the property and, as a thank you, the owner offered him the choice of one of them.
