This wine is one of our greatest successes among Languedoc wines! This version of the Bergerie de l'Hortus clearly announces the colour of the vintage: finesse and freshness! Notes of black berries, graphite and mint. The palate is slender, crisp, and lingers on nuances of thyme with a subtle, almost northern grain. Exquisite to drink now, this wine will be the ally of everyday cooking!

Technique

Viticulture

Brown soil formed on Cretaceous limestone scree. Slope between 10 and 20%. 150 to 200 m altitude. 40 to 45 hl/ha. This wine is made with the young vines of the estate as well as carefully selected wines from other Pic Saint Loup vineyards.

Oenology

Classic vinification: destemmed and crushed grapes. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel vats (max 32 OC). 25 to 30 days of vatting. Mourvèdre is aged in 2 and 3 wine barrels. For the other grape varieties, in stainless steel tanks.
