Petite Arvine, Les Crêtes - 2021

We don't say it too loudly, but the Valais does not have a monopoly on Petite Arvine and as it is, we can say that it has also been cultivated in the Val d'Aoste since the 1970s. Also, this dry cuvée of the Charrère family has nothing to envy to its Swiss counterparts because its finesse, its tension and its salinity make it a school wine, as comfortable as an aperitif as it is with fine fish.

Domain
The Domaine des Crêtes was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles by the charismatic Costantino Charrère, who is in a way the "father" of all the great Valle d'Aostan winegrowers. It is now run by his daughters, who represent the fifth generation of this family, which has always been involved in agricultural production in the most poly-cultural sense of the word. The vineyard covers 25 hectares along the Dora Baltea, which crosses the region like the Rhone in Valais, in the communes of St-Pierre, Aymavilles, Gressan, Sarre, Aosta and St-Christophe. It is unanimously the most (re-)known Valle d'Aostan domain in the world and we import it exclusively for Switzerland.
