Nebbiolo, present in the southern alluvial valley of glacial origin, takes us back to the origins of winegrowing in the Aosta Valley. This wine was born from the desire to vinify and enhance a traditional variety; the result is a wine of great character and refinement, an expression of these mountain soils. Summit means high, with a view to the mountains.

Viticulture

Vineyards of Arnad and Issogne. Age of the vines: 30 years. Terroir of glacial sediments, alluvial deposits. Exposure: southeast/northwest. Altitude: 350 metres. 0.80 ha, Guyot training method, 7500 vines per hectare. First year of production: 2015. 3300 bts/year.

Oenology

Manual harvest at the end of October / beginning of November. Maceration for 20 days in stainless steel tanks. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months (25 Hl).

Suggestions for accompaniment

Brasato and polenta with alpine Fontine - Veal shank gremolata - Cannelloni with oxtail and truffles.
