Moulin-à-Vent, Héritage du Tremblay, Paul Janin & Fils - 2020

It seems that this vintage has allowed Eric Janin to make one of the most accessible Héritage du Tremblay of his career: ripe, expressive nose, with fresh notes of pepper, bramble and liquorice. The palate is round, full and juicy, with good concentration. If it can be enjoyed with pleasure after aeration, its ageing potential should not be overlooked. One of the great Q/P ratios in France! Viticulture

This wine is made from very old vines (80 to over 100 years old), mostly from the "Burdelines" climate. The soil is composed of sandstone on the surface, sometimes lightly covered with sand or red clay, with high concentrations of manganese. The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods and the soil is fully worked. Surface area 2 ha.

Oenology

Traditional Beaujolais vinification, maceration of whole bunches if possible (depending on the vintage and the level of maturity reached) for +/- 10 days. Aged in stainless steel vats for +/- 12 months.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Pork tenderloin in a crust - Coq au vin - Atriaux.
